Choose one example from world history, from the earliest humans until the onset of European expansion (circa 1492) in which people would have thought the world was ending.  Write a short essay (300-500 words) in which you discuss why people thought they were experiencing the end of the world, and how it impacted their behavior, politics, art, etc.
