1. Typically criminal profilers are utilized on high profile cases and not the “typical” crime(s) that impact(s) the vast majority of victims.   Should the role of the criminal profiler be expanded to include the normal incidents that occur day in and day out? Why or why not?

 The general public’s perception seems to be the role of the criminal profiler is essential in capturing serial killers. Given what you have read, do you think profiling can be used to catch serial murderers? What about rapists?
