Great Britain formally left the European Union on January 31, 2020. As a result, the transition period for Great Britain has ended. On 1st of January 2021, the Withdrawal Agreement and Protocol on Northern Ireland came into force. This document provides an overview of the current UK and Northern Ireland medical device regulations, the differences between them and the impact on trade between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
